We Are Inclusion And Early Childhood Is Our Passion

McCam Centre Early Childhood Program follows the McCam Developmental Curriculum and is guided by the Early Childhood Curriculum and the Ministry of Education's Curriculum.

Nursery & Toddler

Our nursery and toddler programme provides care for children ages 3 months – 2 years in a safe, nurturing, and happy environment where they play and learn together. At this stage, the focus is on early stimulation and the development of emerging self-help skills, motor skills, cognitive development and language. Children in our nursery are in an enrichment program that includes but not limited to circle time, floor play and nature walks. Toddlers participate in circle time, nature walks, finger painting, manipulative play, music and movement, and potty training, all guided by caring and qualified staff.

Preeschool through Grade 1

Children aged 2 – 6 years are enrolled in our inclusive school programme. A variety of creative teaching methods are utilized to support each child’s growth according to his or her abilities. The curriculum embraces a wide range of learning experiences—from free play to structured small-group sessions and individualized instruction. Developmental areas targeted include motor skills, cognitive development, language enrichment, and social skills.

Diagnostic Classroom

This class serves children 3 – 5 years old who may need additional support before transitioning to a mainstream kindergarten programme. The diagnostic classroom accommodates up to 8 children with specific learning needs for 1 – 2 years. The small class size allows for individualized educational programmes and targeted teaching strategies. This nurturing environment helps children build early academic skills, independence, and self-confidence. At the end of their placement, recommendations for appropriate school transitions are provided.

Special Education Intervention

Our Special Education Intervention programme supports children who require targeted assistance in areas such as speech and language, behavior management, reading readiness, fine and gross motor development, and social-emotional skills. Interventions are delivered by trained specialists using evidence-based approaches tailored to each child’s unique needs. Progress is monitored regularly, and parents are guided on strategies to support learning at home.

After-School Care

Our After-School Care programme provides a safe, structured, and engaging environment for children once their regular school day ends. Activities may include homework support, supervised play, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, storytelling, and quiet time for reading or rest. This programme is designed to help children wind down while staying productive and socially engaged until pick-up time.
